The school council is a group of students from year 1 all the way up to year 6. Max De-Their Lowe (Teaching Assistant) takes our minutes as Eddie Pearson (chair of the School Council) and Maia Walker (Vice Chair) take the meeting. The school council discuss ideas and then Max and Eddie take them to the Headteacher (Chris Pearson) and he decides if the school council should get it dealt with. School council has progressed in the last few years.
Some of the ideas we have initiated and contributed to to make our school healthier, happier and better are:
- Eco Garden
- Tuck shop
- Sponsored walk
- Summer fairs
- Charity Events
- Football cages/ extensions for playground
- Book week, Arts week, healthy picnic day, e.t.c
- In-class cloakrooms
School council students are nominated by their class mates. They vote for 1 girl 1 boy and two reserves
If the voted council members are in year 5 or 6 they can put themselves forward for elections for Chair and Vice Chair of the school council.
School council helps to make our school a better place to be.
